Strawberry Moon over the Cuillins, Isle of Skye Print
Beautifully captured by Cath Waters, Scotland’s award winning artist, the Cuillin ridge on the Isle of Skye is spectacular.
A strawberry moon is the full moon in June which is so called because it marks the time of year that wild strawberries are ready to pick. The full moon in June is also sometimes known as the Honey Moon, Rose Moon or Mead Moon. The Cuillin ridge on the Isle of Skye is spectacular in it’s own right but even more so on a full moon and watching the moon rise over the jagged peaks is a truly memorable sight.
