Fiona Matheson - Award Winning Landscape Artist

Fiona Matheson is known for her bold and vibrant textural work. Born Aberdeen, Fiona  lives and works in the Highlands. Her contemporary images reflect the rich culture and heritage of Scotland. As an artist, Fiona's relationship with the Scottish landscape is deep rooted as she comes from a family of generations of crofters in the Highlands and farmers in Aberdeenshire. 

Her identifiable canvases, which can measure up to 5 feet, are developed in her studio which overlooks the Moray Firth . Fiona has maintained the unique textural quality and bold colors of her early training.

She works in both oils and mixed media and her unmistakable wide-format landscapes conjure the uncompromising essence of the north of Scotland.
