Beautiful earrings by Sheila Fleet, the weathered flagstones around Orkney.

These drop earrings are sterling silver with enamel and are 1″ x 1/2″

Sheila has always been very interested in rock formation and lapidary, especially during her early years in Edinburgh studying at Art College. Flagstones have a unique texture which Sheila loves. They are used for fencing in parts of Caithness which animals use to shelter in the winter months. As the stones become weathered they create a lovely look which inspired Sheila to create this collection of jewelry.
