Ok... so its been a little hot and humid here in the Northeast, and yes I have had a good old Scottish moan about it! But how can you not love July? It's one of my favorite months. There are so many different options to keep me out of mischief, the trouble I have is trying to decide which one will be best for a particular day. Hikes in the woods, strolls along the beach... not sure which I like best.
On another note, the Hydrangeas having been incredible this year. The ones in the photo above, happily sunning themselves, are a lovely sight to be greeted with as I open the door each morning.
Some of you may recognize our daughter, Catriona, working away at our tent at the Highland Games. Always up for some strawberry or raspberry jam, she's quite happy to come berry picking with me.... as long as she gets some of the jam later!

There is always lots to do in summertime, from celebrations for July 4th, the fireworks displays are incredible, to simply relaxing in the sun, enjoying the company of friends.
