Who Creates: Highly acclaimed Scottish Artist – Kevin Hunter
Traveling Scotland with my family, especially my son Bodhi, is a constant source of inspiration. I try to capture the essence of each place, its unique mood and atmosphere, through my paintings. Sharing these glimpses of Scotland's beauty with the world is a privilege.
Born and raised in Greenock, a shipbuilding town, I've been painting since childhood (age 10). My background in design adds another layer to my artwork. While studying interior design in Glasgow for 4 years, I even won national design awards! After graduating, I explored various creative fields - film & theatre set design, picture framing, and art gallery management. Ultimately, my passion for painting led me back to the easel full-time.
My contemporary work ranges from realistic landscapes to atmospheric impressions, sometimes venturing into abstraction. Scotland's landscapes are a constant source of inspiration, but travel, film, and music also influence my pieces.
